Exhibition: Dank @ 5th Base

Having done a large piece outside the gallery last year, Dank returns to the 5th Base gallery on Heneage Street to exhibit his latest collection. Called "Queen of Neon" there's around 2 dozen pieces most of them featuring his Japanese muse.

These smaller shadowy pieces are my favourite.

My favourite of the larger pieces.

Simply stunning.

The exhibition runs for a few more days.

Park: Margate Dreamland

Whilst down in Margate it made sense to drop in on Dreamland and put some money their way. Already changes to the rides have occurred since my last visit with both the Wacky Worm and the Mouse having gone, leaving only the Scenic as the only coaster (not a bad thing). They've also got a Top Spin and an Enterprise, I don't recall either being there on my last visit.

By far the most popular ride is the scenic, and it's great to see it running once again.

Graffiti: Margate

I'd read that last weekend there was a little graffiti event taking place down in Margate with the headliners being The Lost Souls who were going to put up a new triptych in town. Work prevented me from getting down, and the weather turned out to not be so good anyway so one week later I went down to see what progress had been made.

Batman vs Superman is topical. I like this piece.

On the side of the Dreamland complex, a nice nod to one of the most famous episodes.

Work in progress.

These are the 3 pieces done by The Lost Soul guys. Stunning

Some close ups.

Some far away

and a couple of other pieces that I found walking around the town.
