Gig #12: Kero Kero Bonito @ DIY Space for London

My second KKB gig and since the last one the band has grown and moved in a more rock band direction away from the electro-pop of last time. The tracks were still the same catchy songs but reworked to include live drums and guitars; some of the tracks worked, some didn't and a part of me was wanting the original interpretations to come back. The new tracks that are pure rock like "Only Acting" do work however as they were written for the full band.

A lot of the tracks now remind me of They Might be Giants, which is not a bad thing. I just hope that this band thing is a phase that ends soon and they go back to their electro-pop sound.
