Promoting his new album, Die Cut, San Francisco DJ Cut Chemist was in town and playing a show. The new album is a diverse collection of tracks with some significantly better than others but we got some of those tonight along with some classics from his earlier albums and Jurassic5 collaborations.
Speaking of J5, Charlie 2na was also in town (he's touring with Krafty Kuts) and it was became the worst-kept secret that the two would unite tonight. They had played a medley set on the radio earlier in the day and played similar tonight. It went down well with the crowd, and it was also acknowledged that tonight's set was a one-off, which I liked.
The guy is technically incredible and still managed to keep the crowd enthralled throughout, not all scratch DJs can do that.
