Film: A Cure for Wellness

A rather peculiar film that tells the story of a corporate high flier who is sent to Switzerland to collect a board member from a spa retreat there. When he gets there he finds none of the guests wish to leave and he soon finds their reasons why becoming a reason why he finds it hard to leave himself.

It's a bizarre tale, but a good one with a dark and interesting, if a tad bonkers, storyline that I won't give away here. None of the cast are A-list which has meant it has lacked in the publicity quite a bit. The performances however are fine. The star of the film for me though was the location, with a beautiful chosen German castle being the thing that I took away from the film most.

If you liked Shutter Island then you will probably like this. It felt very similar to that.
