Event: Crooks

Crooks is the latest immersive production from CoLab Theatre, a company that has done a number of productions up north and in London. The latest which is due to finish it's run is set in an old warehouse in Borough and has you assuming the role of an undercover cop set to infiltrate the HQ of a local mobster known only as The Don. Other cops are already working undercover but who can you trust and who's side will you take.

The performances are great and whilst the storyline is quite linear the immersion is one of the strongest that I've been to. The more you put into it, the more you will get out, and the strength in the performances comes in their ability to improvise with your contributions.

In the space of 90 minutes I took part in a drugs deal, attempted a poisoning of the Don, snuck into an office, hacked the computer to get information and had a few drinks and took some pills :)

This was a really fun night and it's highly recommended should it appear again.
