Film: Speed Sisters

Speed Sisters is a documentary on an all female-Palestinian racing team. It's a great insight into life in a country where you wouldn't expect that to take place. There's a little bit of rivalry between two of the girls which underpins most of the story. Whilst there is mention of their Israeli neighbours that doesn't dominate the film although there are a couple of scenes where you get a glimpse of just how shitty they can be. What was more powerful was the side story of how one of the girls didn't have the same freedom as one of the others and for her getting to the beach was a huge deal.

A pretty good production, and it'd be interesting to see if it ever finds its way to TV.
