Kid Koala @ Scala

Kid Koala is currently touring with his Vinyl Vaudeville 2.0 show promoting his latest album 12-bit Blues album. Marketed as "The Silliest Show on Earth" it features his scratch DJ show and his vaudeville troupe Adina Amram and The Experience providing the humour.

I can safely say that I don't think I'll ever go to a show that features kazoos, burlesque, paper aeroplane fights, limbo dancing, muppets and remote control helicopters; but that's only part of the craziness that this show contained.

The music itself is great with a mixture of rock, dance, but mostly jazz reworkings like the album.  The Koala is a really great scratch DJ and makes three-deck scratching look effortless...git :) Adina Amram is the perfect foil providing some hilarious and silly humour into the show.

I found some footage of the show at another venue here but I definitely recommend seeing it in person.
